Judeo-Christian isn’t.

19 Jan

“Judeo-Christian,” there’s a bullshit phrase. Judaism and Christianity are two different religions. Yes Christianity branched out of Judaism, but there is a very important separation: Jesus and the New Testament. What irks me the most about this term is the implied alliance of Jews and Christians. Christian love for Jews (finally after centuries of persecution, torture, and systematic mass genocide) is disingenuous to the extreme.

The only reason why Christians claim to suddenly love Jews so much is simply because they think they need them in order for Jesus to return, at which point all the Jews will be killed and sent to hell, along with everybody else. Jews, wake up! They’re using you! They’re not really your friends!

On second thought, perhaps this mendacious relationship is beneficial to the Jews. They know the Christians are full of it, but hey!, at least they aren’t putting us in gas chambers and instead are giving us weapons with which to oppress and murder Palestinians!

Which brings me to my other point of contention with the term “Judeo-Christian,”: Islam.

What about Islam? Islam is the corrective of Christianity, just as Christianity is the corrective of Judaism. All three of them are similar in that they are the “Abrahamic faiths.” A more correct term would be the “Judaic-Christian-Islamic” religion. (And if that sounds absurd to you, that’s exactly how I feel about “Judeo-Christian”)

Why cut Islam out of a family it has just as much right to claim to be part of? Simple: Christianity is threatened by Islam in a way it is not threatened by Judaism (because they’ve exterminated most of the Jews), and the Jews that are left are concentrated in a state that they can flood with weapons and cash in order to fight a proxy war with Islam. Simple as that. Jews don’t mind because they get weapons to shoot Muslims, and Christians don’t mind because the Jews will help keep the holy land safe for them until Jesus comes back and kills them all. It’s win win!

Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism. Both religious systems were established by the same God for the same purpose. Maybe search “what is Christianity’s relationship to Judaism” and find a link explaining why the two are referenced in this way, it really isn’t as conflicting as it might appear.

Christianity isn’t the fulfillment of anything; it is the poorly written sequal to a bad bronze age fantasy novel.

And a Muslim would explain that Islam should be included because it is also established by the same god in order to correct the errors made by the first two.

Why would god create two religions? Just to see them fight each other? Doesn’t make a lick of sense to me….

The true, rational Creator of the universe wouldn’t create ANY religion. Christianity, Islam and Judaism have nothing to do whatsoever with any true and legitimate God.

Let’s see, this particular Dictionary entry seen below was written in 1913, long before you were born I’m sure:

Definition of ‘Judeo-Christian’ = Judeo-Christian (adj.) 1. having origins in both Judaism and Christianity; of or pertaining to Christianity; as, the Judeo-Christian tradition.

    – Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)

So there was a very clear understanding and DEFINITION of the term you so like to denigrate while basking in your godless ignorance. Regardless of faith however, is the authority of Dictionaries, which WRONG in the eyes of science as well. Boo, Hoo!!!!

Something everybody needs to know about dictionaries: There is no trademark on the name “Webster”. That means that anyone who wants to can start up a company, put out a dictionary, and call it “Webster’s Dictionary”.

“Merriam-Webster” is an established dictionary publisher with a good reputation. If the dictionary you’re using has “Merriam” in front of the Webster, you’re fine. If it just says “Webster”, with no Merriam, throw it away; it’s a worthless piece of junk.

The other thing everybody needs to know about dictionaries: Most of them aren’t any good for finding out how complicated technical terms are used by professional communities. In other words, if you want to learn about the history and implications of the term “Judeo-Christian”, go to a specialized dictionary of theology or philosophy, not a general-purpose dictionary.

Okay, my fellow Son of Adam, I did not expect a reply so this is a pleasant surprise. I think the main point here is that there are certain individuals who are Jewish, either ethnically, religiously, or both, who just don’t get it. I’m sorry, but when you are a very tiny, minute minority in an overwhelming sea of people who are not ethnically Jewish and do not practice Judaism, you might want to learn to swim (or drown). Consider factual reality. For example, I am Catholic and there currently over +1 billion baptized Catholics in the world today. It humbles me realizing that I am just one of an infinite number of souls, and no more important in the eyes of God than a starving young child in Africa. There maybe 15 million Jews in the world today and that includes all Jews who neither believe in nor practice the religion of Judaism. There is NO such thing as being a non-believing, or non-practicing, Catholic because the genetic material in your body means absolutely nothing in determining whether someone is or is not a Catholic. You can be the most full-blooded Jew in the world descended directly from Jacob’s son Judah and still be seen as Catholic in good standing because behavior is the only determinant in the eyes of the Church. Anyway when you compare 15 million to 1 billion you get 1.5%, an extremely small amount of people. They may object to what the other 98 and a half people think and do, but to change it is to believe in the impossible. Judeo/Christian is a REALITY for that 98.5% of the world’s Catholics, not including almost a billion more non-Catholic Christians who are also not Jews.

Those individuals who simply can’t stand the overwhelming majority using the words ‘Jew’, Jewish, Judaism, Judaic, Judeo, or ‘Judeo/Christian’ can file a lawsuit and attempt to stop anyone and everyone from every saying, writing, of thinking those words ever again. Whoever does this, however, needs at least a trillion dollars in legal costs alone!

So, until then, I doth continue my quotations forthwith-

Your brain will show you a detailed picture of your
girlfriend lying in some other guy’s bed covered in a light mist of sweat (hers and his). These are all things you need to talk about and get very clear on before you make a decision to either leave or go back. It’s not because
I was better than anybody who might do that now.

Why people still use to read news papers when in
this technological world the whole thing is presented on web?
